Company History

Jerry Ridgway, a former Associate Partner of leading Auctioneers Henry Butcher International Ltd, teamed up with Charles Rogers, a specialist in accountancy and retail trading, and launched Explorer Associates in 1999.

In addition to the work with Henry Butcher International Ltd, Jerry's former employment was in marine, mining, engineering, heavy plant sales, managing large projects such as the asset disposal programme for TML Eurotunnel on the Channel Tunnel Project and Falkland Islands construction asset sales.

The Company developed rapidly into clear divisions of experienced project management, health, welfare and safety consultancy, specialised auditing and accident investigations.

In almost 12 years the Company’s ever growing client base and on-going consultancies include companies such as GoIndustry DoveBid, private treaty agents, Williams Transport Ltd, Wrightsure Insurance Agents, John Williams Roofing Ltd, Stewart Fraser Ltd AAG Investment Ltd and Premier Foods.

Various projects have been undertaken with organisations including BP Oils & Chemicals Plc, Walker Construction Ltd, Rentokil Initial Laundries, Rand Gold Mining, Island Copper Mining, Rover Group, Flowserve Pumps Ltd, Q8 (Italy, Trans Asia Refineries - Pakistan) and Shredded Wheat (CPUK).

Health and Safety Officers and Consultants advise on, and write, bespoke Health and Safety Policies, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Fire Risk Assessments and which Protective Personal Equipment would be most appropriate for the workplace.

The first Health and Safety consultation is FREE and while under contract a 24 hour emergency service is given to all clients.
